Morning returned with quiet brightness. For the first time in days, Lyra felt light. Not weighed down. Not exhausted. Just… herself again. She stood near the window, dressed simply, her fingers lightly brushing the curtain aside as she looked out over the palace grounds. The world felt calm. Safe. At least, it seemed that way.
