My heart leaps into my throat when he says he loves me.. My mind is reeling and I'm overjoyed by his confession. suddenly the feeling of sheer terror takes over me.
NO! there is no way he could love me.. this is too much, too soon. I can't believe that someone could be in love with me so soon. that's not the way the world works.
