Chapter SevenA sense of discovery enveloped Cassidy’s and Vikki suspected it was all due to the restaurant’s ceiling. Suspended from rough-hewn beams, amid abundant copper-potted ferns, was a virtual museum of artifacts the owners’ had collected from travels around the world. Ship’s ornaments, airplane propellers, high-wheel bicycles, handicrafts, baskets, signs, menus, and other novelty items added a rich ambience to the plank walls and stained-glass enclosed booths that flanked a fifty-foot curved teak and brass bar. Tonight people and cameras were added to the aesthetic ornaments that populated Cassidy’s – a talented group that freely contributed their energies to wage war on drunk drivers.
