Cindy’s POV
After a long time apart, having my mother by my side again felt incredibly comforting. The drive home from the supermarket turned out to be longer than expected due to the lunch break rush hour traffic. My feet cried out from exhaustion as we finally arrived home.
Once inside, I wasted no time introducing my mother to the rest of the staff. It was surprising, yet heartwarming to see my mom and Grace hit it off as if they had known each other for ages.
Collapsing into one of the sofas in the living area, I watched Simon make countless trips to the car, retrieving the groceries. His resourcefulness and hard work brought a smile to my face, and I felt grateful for his presence.
