A Starfish’s Story
One of the first things I did after settling my craft into an orbit around your planet was to absorb your printed and electronic literature. It proved to be a massive task as so much of it seemed to have been done simply because someone had to write each piece of trivia—as if there would be gap in your understanding of life if no one had written the long story of a certain chicken crossing a road or failed to show 49 photos at different angles of what someone had for dinner.
Another reason was I had to sort through so many conflicting claims in so many books on religions and spiritual matters; on medicine, drugs and health; on your history and past civilizations—as well as present civilizations, of course; in social matters; in economics; and even in science.
