On returning to the pack, I immediately sought out the guards who had accompanied us.
"Has Todd started treating the injured man?" I asked.
"Yes, Alpha," one of them replied. "He is with Todd now. We have already sent a guard to inform the man's family about what happened."
I nodded, satisfied that at least that matter was being handled. "Make sure Todd gives him everything he needs. No expense is spared."
"Yes, Alpha," the guard said.
I turned to Torren. "To the throne room. The elders should be waiting by now."
As we made our way through the corridors, Torren walked beside me, his expression troubled.
