18 | Kushiel's Terror

ASURA'S POV

~PARIS, FRANCE~

I chuckled when Nadia acted like a child getting its first gift when she's literally attached her face at the car windows. She was excited when I told her that I want to see Kushiel, my third child regarding the man in the red mask.

Since Kushiel works for the intelligence agency for devils run by my family, she might know something about this mysterious man. Somehow I think Nadia think this is a vacation. Agramon stopped the car in front of the hotel and I waited for someone to opened the door for me.

"Thank you." I smiled at the bell boy.

"Welcome back, Lady Asura." I waited for Nadia to get out of the car before we both walked into the hotel. "Is it okay for us to stay here without Draven?" Nadia concerned about my youngest.

"If something happens, I'll use the portal to get Draven to us. Anyway, this is your first trip to Paris, did you have fun?" Nadia nodding her head. I rang the bell and waited for the receptionist.

"It's amazing. I never thought I would be here of all places! Paris, the city of love." I smiled. I'm glad she's happy.

"But don't forget our real agenda being here. Okay?" Nadia nodded before the receptionist greeted us. I asked for the royal suite like always and followed the bell boy towards our room.

After I gave the bellboy his tips, I closed the door and looked around the room. "Amazing as always."

"Oh wow. At this time of hour?" The man noticed me and winked. While f*****g his woman, he even has the chance to wink at us?

Nadia reached for her phone and took a picture. "One of the perks in the city of love." She said while chuckling. "Hey look!" She pointed at the building in front of ours. "Another couple having s*x at the windows. Look!" She's awfully excited about this.

But she's right.

There's a couple having s*x right there. Like before, she took a picture and chuckling away. I will never understand about this woman that I had marked. She seems strict, but then she seems childish. And then without warning, she will become so serious that I can't even joke around her.

"Oh look. Seems like the man just creampied the woman. She's not happy at all." I chuckled when she's doing a live review about the couple.

"Hey ... are you two okay? Need help? Seems like that husband of yours passed out on top of you." Nadia waving her hands at our neighbor.

"I'm fine... I'm used to it. This happens all the time." The woman gave us two thumbs up while trying to remove her husband from her body. I looked at the time and it's almost time for our meeting with Kushiel.

"It's almost time to meet Kushiel. Let's go." I summoned a portal inside the room. "Where are we going to meet her?" She asked while we walked through the portal together. We arrived at the desired venue.

"Welcome to the Palace of Versailles." Nadia gasped when we arrived in front of the palace.

"I've only seen this building in pictures and television before. I never dream of coming here myself." I chuckled. "Well, we're here to meet Kushiel. The intelligent agency for devils built beneath the palace."

To think my father gave the king his approval to use the upper ground to build this palace.

"Seriously? We're going underground?!" I smiled before nodding my head to one of the devils in a professional suit. "Lady Kushiel is waiting." He announced before he opened the door that connected to the underground. I show my thanks and grabbed on Nadia's hand.

"Did you know that the royal palace of Versailles is also one of the most haunted buildings in the entire country. Especially the gardens where Marie Antoinette's ghost is said to be frequently spotted roaming around the place." Nadia moved a little closer to me.

"Are you scared?" I find this funny.

"You know a devil shouldn't afraid of ghost for you yourself is a creature of the dark." By now she's literally clinging with me.

"I am a devil but I was a human before being a devil. And I too afraid of ghost." I can't believe I'm hearing. I wanted to laugh... but that would be rude.

"To tell you the truth, I was a friend for the last queen. Long ago I blame myself that she was sent to the guillotine. But I do remember the words she said to me days before she was executed."

"What words?" She asked when we stumbled upon a door.

"No one understands my ills, nor the terror that fills my breast, who does not know the heart of a mother." I still remembered the way she told me that. It still fresh in my mind. "Why was she killed though?" I think for a moment.

"She was convicted for high treason by the Revolutionary Tribunal." I pushed the door open and walked in the room just to meet Kushiel wearing the family's official Demonix uniform, sitting on a chair, watching the screen.

"Mommy, mom. Thank you for coming all this way. I'm sorry for troubling both of you." I waved it off.

"It's okay. So, Kushiel, any news regarding the matter I mentioned on the phone?" She nodded. "Yes, to be honest, our department to investigating the man in the red mask as well."

That's convenient. "I prepared the whole report in those files. There's a lot of it regarding his activity. It's probably a miracle for him to even be free right now." I made a good choice to asked Kushiel for help.

"This place is known Empire of the Dead, this underground labyrinth with skeleton-lined walls and chambers filled with human bones is home to the remains of about six million people who believed that some of which may still be seen wandering around the dark pathways."

She pointed at something.

"I have to warn both of you to never wandering on your own because there are several stories of human getting lost in the catacombs and never being found alive again."

She's right. I did release some of the dangerous creatures that wandering around this hallways. "Please don't let go of my hand," I whispered to Nadia. "You don't have to tell me twice." She literally grabbed on my arm as if her life depends on it.

"Seems like there's an intruder," Kushiel informed us. "How did you know?" I asked.

"The walls never lied, plus, you can hear their voices if you listen carefully. Don't worry though. It's just some group of human ghost buster wannabe trying to conquer the catacombs." Humans.

They claim to be the smartest being in the world since the revolution of apes and yet they can be quite stupid sometimes.

"Will this affect our investigation?" Kushiel shakes her head.

"If they do come across us, we can use the magic of deception to blind them from seeing us or we could release the beast to kill them." Kill them huh. That's a good plan.

"I don't think we have to kill them. They're foolish human but still, killing them without any reason will make things harder to explain." Especially when Hexen, my seventh child know about it.

I sighed. "Besides preparing the paperwork will be so much work to deal with." Kushiel chuckled. "Mommy, it must be hard for you to be the Behemoth Huh."

"You don't have any idea, my daughter. Are we there yet?" I asked when I feel like it's been a while since we walked into the catacombs.

"Seems like it's working. That person died near the cross." Kushiel kneels down. "Dehydration. Well, that happens a lot down here." We stopped in front of the door that leads to another part of the catacombs.

This room seems normal looking. Looks abandoned as well. I'm not sure if that mysterious man in the red mask even here to begin with. I decided to look around while Kushiel searched for something significant.

"Nothing. It's perfectly clean." Hmm.. not quite.

"They might be no physical evidence but we do have something on our side. Magic." I just hope it works.

I never use it before. "Magic? You mean you'll ask the walls? You're going to see the memories that were embedded in the walls?" I nodded.

I simply clapped my hands and close my eyes, using my ears to listen. I've heard some unnecessary things but one perks my interest.

"Found them. He was here. For a few days though. He was discovered by travelers. Who spent a night here." Now my question is, how did he manage to run away from the beast that guarded his place?

The only reason the beast doesn't come near us now because I possessed the power to make them obey my orders. Perks of being the moonlight demon included the power of authoritative and power to control every elemental.

"We're too late again huh." Kushiel sighed.

I was about to say something when I heard distant screaming. "Banshee?" Nadia asked. "Not really. Sound like vampires." What are they doing here? I really don't want to cause any trouble while we're down here.

"Mommy summon the portal. We should avoid coming in contact." I didn't get to summon anything when a vampires came to view with its fangs protruding from its gums.

"Damn it

"Damn it." Nadia stood in front of me while using her arms to shield me.

"Well well well... Kushiel Demonix in the house." Blood dripping from the corner of her mouth. That only meant one thing...

"Aria. What are you doing here?" Kushiel seems to know this vampire. "I have a job to do. While I was walking to my target I saw a group of humans wandering around. They're not delicious at all."

"It's rude to show yourself a bath in blood like this," I said while touching Nadia's arm. Th vampire squinted her eyes and laughed.

Seems like I have to do that report huh. I sighed heavily. "You look familiar. No matter. Today will be the day to have your head, Kushiel Demonix." The vampire lunged towards my daughter who's... I can't believe she's being scared of this excuse of a vampire.

She's a soldier for devil sake! Why does she have to be scared of this weakling vampire?

Nadia took the blow when she stood in front of Kushiel. Nadia pushed Kushiel away as I catch her. "Nadia end her." Nadia nodded and took a dagger out.

"You kill her, I'll kill them both." I heard someone said behind me. Nadia turned her attention to me and dropped the dagger. I felt something cold attached itself to my neck. "A blade? Do you know who I am?"

"Of course. Your Asura Demonix. The Behemoth, the devil who possessed the Moonlight Demon power." It's a male voice. Nadia released the female vampire earlier and let herself get beaten by her.

"NADIA!" I clicked my tongue in annoyance. "What do you want?!" I spat.

"Oh, nothing. Maybe your head. I'm sure it will cost more than a million gold." The male laughed while kicking me to the ground. I covered my daughter's body with my own while he steps on us.

"Shhhh. Don't cry, my dear. Mommy's here." I comfort my daughter. In time ... you'll regret doing that.

"If you harm my daughter, I will end your life right here, right now," I said when the female vampire tried to bite on Kushiel's neck.

"Oooh... I'm so scared." She mocked while grabbed on my chin. "Even devils like you can't escape from Brut's magical chain.

Brut? That must be the male vampire's name. "Let my mothers go. You can have me. Please let them go!" Kushiel begged when we both noticed how badly beaten Nadia was.

Brut stopped hitting Nadia and face Kushiel. "Mothers? You mean to say that that mother of yours marrying this weakling?"

"Don't call her weak you mongrel." I spat before the female vampire or Aria slapped me across the face. She has a lot of nerve doing that to me. I tried to shake the chain away but every pressure I put placed more pain onto my wrist.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. This reminds me off when I had s*x with my ex-husband!

"Nadia, are you alive?"

"Yes." Her voice... she's in pain.

"Nadia.."

"Stop being all mushy. Now then, let's have fun shall we." The male vampire went to Kushiel and stripped her off.

"Wow. If no one knew who you are before, no one will believe your once a man, Kushiel. You even have breast!" He keeps on poking my daughter's breath as if it's his to play with!

"Don't touch my daughter!" I grabbed onto the chain and melt it away using my flame But it's not working!. "Don't bother." The man started to take off his pants. "It's futile." He pushes Kushiel on the floor and spread her legs.

"You even have the female part right! What on earth did you do to yourself just to be a woman huh Kushiel?" Kushiel was struggling as he's poking into Kushiel's core with his fingers.

"DON'T TOUCH HER!" I had enough and tried to break the chain. The bones around wrist keep on breaking whenever I try to break the chain. "Kushiel... no!" The man smirked at me before he began to suck on her opening.

"Let your mother watch as Brut rape you, Kushiel." The female vampire laughed at her.

To my surprise, Nadia suddenly appeared in front of the female vampire and grabbed her neck. She easily snapped the vampire's neck and dropped her on the floor.

Nadia then grabbed on the male vampire by the hair and pulled him away from Kushiel. "You've done nothing but trouble." He slammed him on the walls before knees his guts. I watched as Nadia grabbed on the male vampire's private part and literally dismembered it from his body.

The vampire screamed in pain as blood started to stained Nadia's clothes. She grabbed his neck and keep on pushing him against the wall until his head went into the wall. "No one touches my child like that. NO ONE!" By now Ra is in complete control of her body.

"I will not allow creature like you walk around freely." With her hand, Nadia stabbed into the vampire's heart and forcefully take it out from its cavity.

Without hesitation, she took the opportunity to consume the heart right in front us. I don't mind seeing her being a full pledge devil but ... something about her is different when she's angry.

It's like ... her body... her voice .. even her body language changed when it happened. I know Ra since I was born and that's not Ra at all. Seems like she's slowly turning to her own self now. But still, it's something I should research on.

Is it something terrible? Or something that will help me in the future?

Will the vision that I've been experiencing come true? What if Nadia is the one who will be the cause of the things that will happen in the future? What if...

Nadia kneels down before trying to break the chains. "Don't mind me. Kushiel..." I noticed Nadia already placed some clothing on her body. "This will hurt... a lot." I nodded before she used my sword and literally decapitated both my wrist. I was in so much pain but at least she manages to free me.

With this injury, I decided to use the moonlight demon power to heal myself. In a matter of minutes, I am fully healed with new sets of hands. I tried to move them around before I went to Kushiel, calming her down.

"I'm sorry for being useless. What happens to you? You were weak in front of them."

Kushiel keeps on crying on my shoulder. "Shhhh. It's okay

"We're lucky to have Nadia Huh." I looked up to Nadia who's standing with her back to us.

"Nadia? Are you okay?" I asked but she doesn't respond to me. Something is off.

"Nadia?" When Nadia turned around with her frontal body are soaked in the blood of her enemy.

"Does this mean I am a full pledge devil now?"

I was... I am... well since she's concerned about that rather than her current state, I say she's a full pledge by now. I nodded.

"Yay." She was about to vomit in front of us.

"Vampire's blood .... are expired. It's not tasty at all." I chuckled and helped Kushiel to put on Nadia's jacket around her exposed body.

"Wow Kushiel. You look amazing. I'm sorry if I'm being rude and it's not the right time to say this but... you look like you were born as a woman." Nadia smiles and made Kushiel blushed.

Is it just me or she sound like .....

"Thank you, mom. Goddess Aphrodite did an amazing job changing my body to my desire." Nadia nodding her head. "Thumbs up for Aphrodite!" She chuckled.

She ... sound like .... a smooth talker.

"What should we do about these corpses?" Nadia asked while lightly kick on the male vampires .... private part on the floor. I cast a spell and burned them all to ashes. "It's best to just let it gone with the wind. That way I don't have to write any reports about this."

I really don't want to write any reports about this. If I do, I have to write about how Kushiel was about to be... no, I can't say the words! I can't even think about it!

And Hexen will lecture me about this. I sighed.

"What about that?" Nadia pointed at one of the corners and there are piles of the human body on top of each other. I sighed heavily. "Seems like that report is waiting for you, my dear." Nadia is right.

What is this... I can't even find any evidence to locate the man in the red mask but I have mountains of reports to do?! Ugh!
