The First

Chapter 2

When Damian leave with his guards, we run towards Richy.

We saw him crying and in drepressed situation. 

"I don't think this is the right time for you to introduce me to Richy" i whispered to Jess.

"No, Don't worry, I know him so well and i know he can handle this situation." Jess murmured. 

"U-uhm... Cous--,". Jess's voice stammer.

"OH!" 

Richy stand up from where he sits and rushingly wipe out the tears in his face, act that nothing happened.

"H-hey! how's your day Jess?" Richy asked him with a forced smile in his face.

"I'm okay, please don't act that you feeling well Richy, We saw that Damian did."

Richy's face turned serious.

"Well, as you can see, Same issues. He wants this lot, he wants us to get out of here soon. My problem is, how's our vegetables and grains? they're not fully grown. How can we start a new life?. He sighed. He turned his head on my direction.

"Oh, and who's this lovely girl beside you?" He asked Jess.

"Oh! Right! This is Claire, i met her in the streets, She's alone, She's like us. Her family died in the war, i saw her crying in the dark hallway near here, i heard her praying for food and i gave her food, but what i think is how can she survive if no one help her?, that's why i brought her here to help her. Sorry Richy and i'm begging you right now to help her. Please?"

"That's not a problem!" Richy's Replied.

I was a little bit shy but i am thankful, i never knew that there's a kind of people like them. Well, i grew up in the streets knowing that all people is unkind. But finally, i met them. Richy and Jess, They're so kind even if they're poor and only hoping for the harvest.

"W-wait? by the way, I'm Richy. Maybe this handsome boy told you about me?" Richy asked me.

"Y-Ye-Yes Sir!, He told me that-- that--". I can't talk straight because i was so overwhelmed and shy at the same time.

"That? What?, Jess? what did you tell her?" he turned into a joke face. 

"No-Nothing, I said that you're my handsome cousin and the best cousin in the whole wide wolrd, Ha-ha-ha''!.

Jess and Richy laughed together like they don't have any problems, How can these guys do that? Maybe, they're simple life made them happy and contented. I don't know, But what i know now is i am in good hands.

"So! Maybe you guys are hungry again? You runs fast to get in front of me. Would you like to eat?".

"Hell Yeah!, Can you cook our favorite, Richy?".  Jess asked him.

"Sure!, Wait me and i'll cook it for us."

While Richy is cooking, i asked Jess some questions.

"U-uhm, Jess?"

"Yes?" He replied.

"So, we've heard that Damian wants you guys out of his lot. So, What's the plan?".

Jess turned into sad face and turned his eyes on Richy.

"I really don't know, Richy shows us like nothing happened, even if it's just the two of us, he shows like everything is fine. But i know deep inside how stressed he is. I really don't know how to help him. I'm just 15, no one will accept me to work on any of their businesses. Our image here is like a thief, dirty, no knowledge about anything, they will just abuse us."

At this point, i knew what he said earlier that we're the same. I saw myself on him, a poor one who has nothing but need to survive. Luckily, He has cousin Richy who help him , they're helping each other to survive. They are brave, They are kind. I was thinking that, why would this people didn't get rich? their hardworks didn't made them rich? Why? I asked Jess about this.

"Jess?, wh-why you guys don't get rich? I mean, you have a lot of vegetables and grains out there, if you harvest it, it will earn you a lot of golds. You will be rich! right?".

"You're right!" Richy answered it. 

"But before i continue to answer that, Let's eat first!, Don't worry! It's our favorite food! I swear you'll like this." I saw an excitement on his face while his talking.

He's definitely like Jess, Asking to eat first before anything else. Well, the food looks delicious. 

AFTER WE EAT

"So, now Clarie right?"

"It's Claire!" Jess replied

"Oh-owh! Sorry,U-uhm! Claire, You're asking why didn't we get rich?"

"Yeah! You have a lot of vegetables and grains, if you trade it you will get a lot of golds." 

"Right, But as you saw earlier, Damian, The owner of the lot. There are time that his guards go in here and destroy our goods. I saw them one night and asked Damian about it, but he just laughed and accused me as a liar. He told me that if i keep accusing him doing that stuff, he will kill Jess and i."

"Wha-what the?! He's a devil living here on earth! May God curse him!". i replied

"No!, Don't talk like that, instead of praying him to be cursed. i just pray him tobe bless, He's just doing that for us to get out of his lot."

"Why don't you get out of here?"

"Simple, We don't really know where to go. We don't have family like you." i saw he's teary eye.

"So what's your plan now?" i asked Richy.

"There's a town near here, i once got there when i was a child, and i know a place there where we can start a new life, but that's not easy as you think. It's been a long years since i got there, i don't even knew if there's a life out there."

I was a little bit shocked, Maybe the town that Richy's thinking is the town where i came from? San Diego Town.
