"Mr Balfour I know the law, and I'm aware that as the only family member you have the right to move your daughter to another institution. But please reconsider. Jane is being kept in a state of pharmacological intoxication for the safety of the medical staff and herself. She is extremely dangerous. And I'm sorry to say it like that but chances that she would ever return to her mental stability are slim to none." - Dr Summers tried to reason with me, but I couldn't just leave her here. This is the outcome I did not expect, but I still have a hope that our doctors would help her. What troubles me is the fact I haven't smelled her wolf on her. Is it possible that with my genes she's not a werewolf?! That would be some cruel joke. "Doctor Summers, I appreciate your advice, but it's my duty to do everything in my power to help her. My decision is final. Now I would like to see her chart and organize suitable transportation." - Doc seemed to be disappointed by my decision. But why would he be? If she's so much of a difficult patient they should be relieved to have her moved. He stood up from his desk and opened one of his metal drawers then handed me a thick folder of documents. I opened it with a heavy heart, after all that's the story of my baby girl. Main Patient information chart was first. Name: Jane Doe Age: 17 Date of birth: September 18, 2003 Weight: 112 lb. Height: 5,1 ft Clinical diagnosis: Paranoid schizophrenia Medical Notes: A patient with a very severe and advanced personality disorder. Loss of contact with reality and memory lapses due to trauma. Extremely dangerous and strong. Multiple delusions. No response to any psychological or pharmacological therapy. There is no data on similar cases in closest family. On the next page is a police report with photos of a crime scene. Incident description: September 18, 2018. Detained juvenile Jane Doe attacked children and caretakers of the Orphanage, injuring three people and killing two with her bare hands. Transported to arrest where she is to be kept under the care of a psychologist. Next was the Orphanage chart. Note: A child found at the age of 3 wandering in the woods in bloody clothes. Despite the search, it was not possible to establish its origin. The girl was transported to an orphanage. Next were photos of her from the age of 3 till this day. She looks just like her mother. Her mother?! Sara, what had happened to you? How did you name our daughter, cause I know it wasn't Jane Doe, that's the name she got when she was brought into the system. My Goddess, if I had only known… I must've read it multiple times. Is that it? Do they really have no other information about my daughter? "Doc, what exactly does 'multiple delusions' mean?" - I asked after reading the whole thing. "Jane created another personality within her. It's common for patients who cannot cope with the hardships of life or with their actions. It's a defensive mechanism." - Dr Summers explained, and that got my attention. "Could you tell me more about this other personality?" "She called it Iri. Apparently this Iri personality was the one more violent as Jane kept telling that she didn't remember things she's accused of." That's the best information this moron could have given me. If I'm correct that Iri is her wolf. So maybe she's not sick, just misunderstood. f*****g humans! "Ok Doc, I have everything I need. Tomorrow one of my associates will come by with a proper transportation. He should be here around noon, please prepare discharge papers till then." - I said while standing up. "Mr Balfour, please reconsider, she's not stable enough…" - he started but I cut him off. "You dragged out the procedure awaiting the paternity test. Now that my identity is confirmed, I'm taking my daughter. I have sufficient resources to provide her with proper care." He knew it was pointless to argue with me. I left his office feeling hopeful that she indeed will return to her normal self. Her chart said that the incidents started when she turned 15, that was more proof that I needed that she is a werewolf like me and not a human like her mother. I returned to my Pack and ordered to prepare a room for her. Her life needs to change from now one. No more hospital beds, no more medications that only make things worse. She needs to understand what's happening to her and she needs to do it fast. I may not be around for too long, but till I'm still here I'll show her everything she needs to know. I fell asleep and actually slept that night. I already felt calmer knowing that not everything I've worked for is lost. In the morning time seemed to drag on slowly. I double checked her room to make sure she got everything she might need in there. When Rodger and Blake finally arrived with her. Just like I suspected she was drugged to the point she wasn't even conscious, so we put her in the room meant for Alpha family members and I ordered blood tests to know exactly what they gave her. When the pack doctor left with samples I sat next to her and waited. She looked so peaceful. So beautiful. But she was so tiny and fragile. It was clear she didn't have as much body weight the girl her age should. 'Our pup is strong.' - said Cas, my wolf in my mind. 'That she is. Can you feel her wolf?' - I asked him. 'No. She's probably sleeping after the medication humans gave her.' 'Keep me posted, Pal' Another three hours and nothing. She's just sleeping. That must've been some strong s**t they gave her. 'Cas you feel anything yet?' - I asked him. 'I'm starting to get some faint scent from her, but I think her wolf is too weak to come forward now.' Another two hours and she finally started moving in her sleep. She should wake up any minute now. What should I say to her? 'Hey, your mother wanted nothing to do with me, so I let her.' - just pathetic. She raised her hand to her eyes to wipe away any remnants of sleep, but she noticed that her hands weren't tied down. She started watching her hands like the most interesting thing in the world. Then she started looking around and the fact that she's no longer in her hospital room sunk in. When she noticed me sitting in the corner, she jumped away to the bed's headboard and curled up like a trapped animal. "Jane, it's ok. You are safe. I'm your…" She released a loud growl from within her. 'Is her wolf awake as well?' - I asked Cas. 'I think so, but I can't connect with her.' - he said in my head. Jane started trembling and I heard her bones cracking. s**t! She's transforming! 'Rodger, get in here. Take Blake and Jeff with you.' - I ordered my Beta. 'On my way Alpha.' I started walking closer to my daughter with my hands in front of me. I wanted to calm her, but she was panting harder with every move I got closer to her. She didn't for even a second averted her eyes from me. When I was just 6 ft away from her she did something I didn't expect. She jumped on me and started scratching me with her half transformed claws. Wounds she gave me were deep and hit the most vital points of my body. She was going for the kill. Doors to the room got opened and three of my men were watching in horror what was going on in here. "Get Connie here with sedative." - I yelled and Blake's eyes got foggy. I managed to take a hold on Jane's arms and with all of my strength and body weight I was able to keep her in place. She's one strong she-wolf. My daughter kept on kicking and tossing in my grip, but there was nothing I could do. I can't release her now, she's too agitated. Finally Connie came into the room with a needle in hand, she came closer to us and she injected its contents into Jane's arm. I felt like my daughter's body started to relax and she finally went limp in my arms. That may be harder than I suspected.
