**Jeremiah's POV**
The days passed, and we still hadn't made any progress with Gia's mother, Lenora. She refused to talk to anyone until she spoke to Gia. She wanted to explain herself, to tell Gia everything about her paternity. I can't allow it. It seems suspicious that she wants to be alone with my wife, and I can't risk any unnecessary stress to the baby. Gia agreed. Joel has tried to change my mind, but he doesn't know why I am being so protective. Everyone thinks I am overreacting, and that Gia can take care of herself. She is a strong fighter and I could put a gun in her hand and know she won't miss, but I just can't risk it. It isn't like I am trying to control her. Gia doesn't want to risk it either. But, we hadn't found any other way to get Lenora to open her mouth.
