Captain Drakon directed that The Dragon sail for New Providence in the Bahamas. New Providence drew little interest from the Crown as the few settlements that were established there were not economically successful. The island had a harbor before which lay a smaller island which made for two inlets. At either inlet there was a sand bar, over which no ship of large tonnage could pass. This meant most pirate vessels could shelter in the harbor, but warships could not. For these reasons it had become a haven for pirates. It would be here, in the relative safety of the island, that Thor would get his tattoo.
