Chapter 8
Thor shared the story of his journey from St. Bartholomew’s to his life as a pirate and, finally, captain of The Dragon with Seth as they stood on the deck and watched The Hollandsche Tuin sail into the distance. He then took Seth on a tour of his ship, introducing the man to his crew.
“And this is where I sleep,” he said, opening the door to his cabin.
He wondered what his friend was thinking and feeling as he watched Seth walk around, examining the space. Seth still carried the kitten they had brought from the Dutch ship. It was asleep in his arms.
“It is all so overwhelming…and so unexpected,” Seth admitted. “To find you after all these years and under such circumstances.” He turned to Thor, “It is also overwhelming to think I have accepted your offer to come with you.”
