Waking up i tip my head back, inhaling as the phone rings.

By the third ring, I’m clenching my jaw.

Another two rings and I’m thoroughly annoyed, isn't it too early for this? I just woke up for f**k sake. I pick up

“Yeah?”

“Is that a way to talk to your father”?.

Good morning father I'm sure you are doing great but can you refrain from calling this early, it's really disturbing.

“I need you to come by the house later today.”

I will think about it.

He scoffs, “And what makes you think that you have a choice in the matter,? Be here 7PM, i wouldn't want your mother to start complaining about the many reasons for your insolent behaviors and disrespect.

Clenching my fist, Dad we both know Mom doesn't feel that way, so i suggest you stop using her as an excuse to insult me.

I hung up, not having the time for his disapproval this morning.

Calling frank my assistant, ‘hello frank’

“Good morning Mr Andreas”

I need you to reschedule my meeting with Mr James to tomorrow morning 10AM’

“Yes sir, anything else?

Ahh yes, get me a woman's bag, and make sure it's wrapped properly.

“Wow i didn't know you were dating someone again” (eye roll) seriously frank the bag is for my mother.

“and here i was thinking you have finally decided to get down from your high horse and finally decided to date someone, at least you wouldn't die a lonely man with ten cats”

‘Laughing’ I'm not going to turn into a cat person if that's what you are worried about,

“Dude you need to settle down and find someone who is going to love you despite your arrogant personality and annoying face”

Is he serious right now?

I'll have you know that my personality and all of me is f*****g awesome, ‘grinning’

“keep telling yourself that”’ I have to go see you at work and you better not be late’

Laughing’ when I'm i ever late? He scoffs,”bye then hangs up”

Frank and I have known each other since we were two years old, his parents moved next door to us and we've been inseparable since then.

Apparently he loves his job as an assistant in my family's softwere company, (Aztec)

I've tried moving him to a different position but he insist on being my assistant,saying he gets to travel all around the world whenever i don't feel like going on a business trip so why would he give that up if he gets to travel around to meet “hot people” his words not mine.

Got down from my car, handing back the keys over to my driver Paul,..

“Sigh” let's try not to murder anyone that gets in my way today, wouldn't want to increase the anxiety i feel after the call i received from my father this morning.

Still doesn't help that i feel really uneasy about this dinner,... I mean it's my dad we are talking about here and he can be very cunning and always trying to get under your skin whenever he gets the chance,.. (Okay I'm over thinking this right?)

Trying to convince myself not to think about my scheming father and focus more on work, which is annoyingly all over my desk.

Time sure do move really fast today,... I rounded up from the office and met up with frank on my way out who BTW is trying to come up with different options on why my dad insist on dinner.

“ ahha i got it”” he is dying so he wants to amend things” (WHAT) no that's definitely not it

“okay he probably wants to hand over the company to you fully since you have proved you are capable of running it well, right?”

Patting his back i said ‘bro whatever it is let's get it over with because i hate the suspense.
