I feel like I’m fighting against a rip current as I walk away from Ladon. Everything within me wants to stay with him, to talk this out… to be vulnerable and honest like he wants. But I don’t know if i”m strong enough to do that.  So I keep walking down the stairs and through the lobby of the inn, forcing myself to keep moving.  Why isn’t he chasing after me?  Don’t look back, Dru. Keep going. You don’t need him anyway. When I push the front door open, I’m greeted by a blast of warm, salty sea air. The breeze in my hair makes me remember the feeling of soaring through the clouds with Ladon. But I can’t think about that right now. I’ve got to keep moving. Put one foot in front of the other and push through on my own. Just like I’ve always done. Besides, my father will be able to help
