57 Alice struggled down the steps, feeling dizzier with each one. She hit what she thought was the bottom and walked forward into the darkness. She couldn't see Tyler, but she could hear his feet scuffing over the solid cement floor. She heard a thunk and on blinked a strip of white ceiling lights. Alice squinted away from the glare. "Here we are," said Tyler, stood to the right of her, his hand on a small lever on a nearby wall. The storm shelter was bare. Industrial. Immaculate breeze block walls and a long, rectangular space around her. There wasn't a single piece of furniture or any belongings, other than a pack of large water bottles.
