The day had turned warm and pleasant since Alice's trip to Maguire's dealership. She’d found a strip mall off the highway into town and parked outside, free to enjoy some much needed headspace.
She picked up a notepad and a select few case files she'd thrown on the passenger seat before the drive to Maguire's. She arranged them on her lap and turned on her voice recorder.
