I knew who Brian Halifax was—he'd been mentioned in more than a few business classes as an example of a man who built an empire before selling it off to build another one, starting at the tender age of sixteen when he coded an app to keep track of your apps. The darned thing went viral, with the young millionaire selling it off at a profit before the bubble burst. After that he went into real estate, financial investments, a plethora of pies he managed to keep turning into gold for himself and others. He kept swimming forward, a cheerful shark who had the instincts of a master predator.
