The airport was busy—not as much as it would likely be in a few hours, after the coronation when everyone would be trying to leave Ansulenia, but busy enough. We got through the check-in and now sat at our gate, waiting for the plane to arrive. The last-minute fare had been outrageously expensive, but we would try to write it off as a work expense due to the book of recipes tucked into Lily's purse.
At least, that's what I told myself, as I shifted my butt in the dark blue plastic shell of a seat, and tried not to think about Teddy.
It didn't help that every single television set in the airport was broadcasting the ceremony.
