"It was entertaining." He shook his head. "Lily has certainly changed since the last time I saw her."
"Back then she was working behind the counter at the café—now she's moved up the ranks, running the show." I leaned back in the chair. "Woman's got a great future ahead of her."
"She does. And a keen eye for the arts." He tilted his head to one side, suddenly serious. "Keeping Kathleen here overnight was not a wise decision."
