Chapter Fifteen Fog A cold morning mist blanketed the ground, making it difficult to see the road more than a dozen feet ahead of them. lifted the hood on her coat, but her face remained exposed to the biting chill. Her breath was a thick white cloud in front of her mouth, and her skin felt numb from the exposure. She sniffed, but didn’t smell any impending snow or sleet, which was good.
