I have been watching Adam walking up and down the streets, searching for the Supes Bar. I look at the old me following him and even though I have no expression on my face, I remember feeling some triumph at the time because it was the first time I tested a theory I had, that even though he was my destined Soulmate, my power to go unnoticed worked on him, like it did with other Immortals. I was just a few steps away from him, in a deserted street at night and he never looked back to check who was behind him. It’s not like I was invisible, but I made my energy extremely uninteresting and difficult to focus on.
