I take my heels off after I massage the sides and the soles of my sore feet. I then pick up my cone heels from the ground, as I start to stride along the sidewalk. I didn't receive any replies to any of the messages I sent to Kyle. I called but it only went straight to his voicemail. I know that I should not overreact because something might got a hold of him but the disappointment didn't get past me. I thought there wouldn't be any second time, like what happened in the past, but I was wrong. The soles of my feet graze the asphalt ground.
