After the lunch I had with Rayleigh, I went to call for Maia. I was trying to reach her through a mind-link but she wouldn't respond. I knocked on our door and pushed it open to find her by the window looking outside.
"Maia?" I called out loudly but still no response. I walked to her and put my hand on her shoulder and she jerked, turning her head towards me at a flash speed. She appeared distracted. "Are you alright?"
"I'm alright." She answered with a small smile on her face. "I was wondering how many more weeks for our pup to arrive here." I caressed her shoulder and she wrapped her arms around my torso.
