"Are you sure about this?" Mandy asked as they pulled up in front of Sam's house.
"Yes, I need to talk to Sam, now. Before I lose my nerve."
"What if she kicks us out of the pack for interfering?" Mandy was shaking from nerves, the chilling wail as they left Jake, still ringing in her ears.
"She won't, and besides, Alice won't let her. Come on." She got out and walked around to Mandy's door, she opened it. "You can wait here, but if I get invited to stay, I'm leaving you out here." She laughed when Mandy got out and followed her up the drive to the door. Lucy took a deep breath then knocked.
