Chapter 3-Blind Date

"This is taking forever!" Arabella grumbled. She had been sitting alone in her seat for almost 30 minutes. But the man she was waiting for hadn't shown up yet. Arabella took her cell phone out of her small bag and opened her chat room with Shreya. "Where is the super busy CEO?" she sent a message, just as she heard a baritone voice. "Good afternoon, Miss." Arabella looked up and saw the owner of the voice. Her first impression of this man was that he was handsome. For a moment, Arabella was mesmerized by the man's good looks. Until she came to her senses, got up from her seat, and immediately took action. "Mr. Azael?" Arabella asked coquettishly. Azael nodded, "Miss Shreya?" Arabella smiled coquettishly again. "Oh, yes... Shreya Varelly," she said, introducing herself and extending her hand. Arabella would transform herself into a flirtatious girl in front of her best friend's potential husbands, so that the matchmaking would fail. "Please, sit down," she said, inviting Azael to sit after they shook hands. "Would you like coffee or a drink that will make you float, hmm?" she offered with a seductive look on her face. "Just coffee." "Haha... it turns out you prefer bitter things," said Arabella again with an awkward laugh. For some reason, she felt that this man was different from the previous candidates. Arabella called the waiter and ordered drinks for herself and Azael. In between her conversation with Azael, she sent a message to Shreya. "This man is really cold!" "I heard that you don't work at your father's company?" Arabella smiled again, this time awkwardly. "Oh, yes. Um, I just want to be independent, try new adventures, and enjoy my youth." Their drinks arrived, and the waiter placed them on the table. Arabella ordered coffee just like Azael, even though she really disliked coffee because it made her heart beat faster and caused her stomach acid to rise. "It seems like you're a coffee lover?" Arabella asked when she saw Azael enjoying his coffee so much. "In my opinion, coffee can relieve fatigue. What about you?" "I don't really like coffee, I prefer drinks that will make us float, until we are lulled by touch!" she said with a wink. However, what Arabella actually felt was nervousness and anxiety. Unlike the previous men, it seemed that this mission would take a little time. Although Azael was a cold man, he was the type of man who was easily aware of the person he was talking to. Azael could clearly see the awkward and nervous expression on Arabella's face from here. Until the clever Azael had an idea to foil the woman's plan. He got up from his seat and approached Arabella. He leaned his head toward her when they were close enough. Arabella leaned back slightly. "I like that idea too. If you want, we can do it now," he whispered, surprising Arabella. "Damn, what now!" she thought. Azael smiled slyly, then walked back to his seat. "Wow... Haha... It turns out we're the same," replied Arabella with feelings she could no longer describe. Her heart was racing, not to mention the cold sweat already flowing under her clothes. Azael smiled crookedly. The woman in front of him couldn't act at all. "So... what now?" Azael's question made Arabella even more uneasy. Until a sound from her cell phone made her grab it and answer the incoming call. Her quick mind started working. "Honey... I'm sorry, I'm still meeting with a client, maybe another half hour and we can meet right away," she said, making the person on the other end confused about what Arabella was saying. Arabella looked back at Azael and put on a guilty face. "Oh... Sorry, that was a call from my boyfriend," she whispered. But it was Shreya who had called her, for some reason. Then a message came in, and when she read it, Arabella's eyes widened in surprise. "What?!" she exclaimed as she stood up, startling Azael. Arabella's eyes immediately looked towards the entrance, confused about what to do. Then, her brain came up with a crazy idea so she could get out of the restaurant immediately. "We can do it now!" she said to Azael. The man raised one eyebrow. Without waiting for the man's approval, she immediately grabbed Azael's wrist. She led him out of the restaurant. "Don't let him see us!" she thought as she walked with her hand clasped around Azael's muscular arm. When they reached the entrance, someone entered with a woman by his side. Arabella immediately hid her face and turned to face Azael. "What are you doing?" Azael was shocked, his brow furrowed. With all the courage she had, her lips touched Azael's soft lips, and it succeeded in silencing Azael. It was just a casual kiss, which Arabella did so that her face would not be seen by the person who had just entered. She released her brief kiss after the person she was avoiding was no longer visible and would not see her. She breathed a sigh of relief. How could she meet him at a time like this? It felt so embarrassing. "Stupid!" she muttered with a sad face. A few moments later, she was startled by someone's voice. Azael noticed the strangeness of the woman in front of him. He knew this woman was avoiding someone. However, he couldn't just calm this woman down after what he had done. "Oh... so Miss Shreya wants to do it here right away? Are you that impatient, hm?" he teased with a grin that made Arabella shiver when she saw it. She couldn't stop cursing her own foolish behavior. She bit her lower lip, her mind racing with thoughts of what she should do. "Well then, let's go..." Azael said, this time pulling Arabella's arm. Until Arabella jerked her arm away and broke Azael's grip. "Mr. Azael, don't you know that I already have a lover, so let's end this relationship here. This matchmaking will not continue!" Arabella snapped. Azael nodded his head. "So, Miss Shreya is feeling nervous?" Arabella was confused herself, wondering why she had been so careless. "No, I'm not nervous at all, it's just that, um, we should end everything before it goes too far." "Alright, a unilateral breakup from the Vallery family. The news will be spread tomorrow," said Azael. Actually, he was just scaring her; he also wanted to get out of this arranged marriage. But not like this. This was the same as being dumped by a woman. Arabella opened her mouth, wondering what she had done. It shouldn't be like this. All of this was because of Zayan Elfarel, her crush who she had never been able to reach until now. Because he already had a girlfriend.
