"Really? Is that true?"
The group was chatting excitedly when a hoarse, heavy voice suddenly sounded behind them.
"What do you mean she was driven away? Who drove her away?"
Everyone froze in shock. By the time they tried to brush it off, it was already too late.
One of the more senior interns gathered the courage to speak.
"Adrian, we were just chatting after lunch…"
"I asked you, who drove Nia away?"
Adrian's sudden outburst startled everyone.
Most of the people present knew at least a little about how Nia had been treated in the hospital. But most of them were interns. When they saw their supervisors acting that way, even if they felt it was wrong, all they could do was pretend not to notice.
Now their silence looked like confirmation in Adrian's eyes.
