ZEPHYR I yawned, glancing at my watch for what felt like the hundredth time, waiting for the office break period, like a f*****g kindergarten. I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to see my wife. Aside from Lyla, board meetings were going to be the death of me. Mendez was still droning on about whatever it was. I nodded along, pretending to listen while my mind wandered back to Lyla, who was just a floor below me.
