“I never pegged you as one to be so foolish,” I muttered. He growled, his eyes flashing a deep, angry colour. “You know I am right. You know everyone is right. You have simply chosen to be hard-headed. There is no need to growl, Kreon. You have thrown your people into pandemonium!” The Drakii were confused. They were angry and they were afraid. He had killed the man, right there in presence of the others. He killed a man in his mountains, with his family probably watching. How could his people ever trust him again! It was the ruination I feared. It was the ruination of his image, of his people, because he could not control his anger, he could not let an insult from a coward slide and he had no intentions of doing what was right for his people. He had no intention of letting me go.
