Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Lyra's POV I sat by the window of my small room, staring out at the vast expanse of the Blue Moon Pack's territory. The thick forest stretched endlessly, its canopy glistening under the morning sun. I had always wondered if somewhere beyond those trees lay the answers to the questions that haunted me: Who were my parents? Why was I left alone in this world? Seventeen years ago, Luna Sara Redwood found me during her travels to the other continents. I was barely a few months old, a helpless infant with no name or identity. She brought me back to the Blue Moon Pack and raised me as her own. I owed her my life, but being an orphan in a pack was never easy. Despite Luna Sara's protection, the whispers and curious glances never really stopped. Still, no one dared to insult me outright. Luna Sara was not only respected but revered. Her kindness and strength made her a true Luna, and no one in their right mind would cross her. The Redwood family was the epitome of perfection. Luna Sara, with her striking features, had a natural beauty that seemed almost ethereal. Her long, wavy auburn hair framed her delicate face, and her piercing green eyes held a mixture of warmth and authority. Alpha Drake Redwood, her mate, was the perfect counterpart—tall, broad-shouldered, and exuding raw power. His jet-black hair and deep blue eyes gave him an intimidating presence, but his love for his family softened his edges. Their eldest son, Blake, was every bit the future alpha. At eighteen, he already towered over most of the pack members, his athletic build and chiseled jawline making him the center of attention wherever he went. His raven-black hair was always slightly messy, as if he'd just stepped out of a fight, and his sharp gray eyes seemed to pierce right through you. He was the kind of guy who didn’t have to try to be noticed—his presence alone commanded it. And then there was his wolf, Arlan, a massive black beast with an aura of dominance that sent shivers down your spine. Blake had received his wolf a month ago on his birthday, a moment that solidified his path to becoming the next alpha. Blaire, the youngest of the Redwood family, was a miniature version of her mother. At just ten years old, she already had Luna Sara's auburn hair and green eyes, her features delicate yet promising the same strength her mother carried. Despite her young age, she had a mischievous streak that kept everyone on their toes. And then there was me—Lyra de Vega. I didn’t share their striking features or their status in the pack. My silvery-gray hair and stormy gray eyes set me apart, a constant reminder that I didn’t belong. But Luna Sara never treated me differently. She was the only mother I had ever known, and for that, I was grateful. Yet, the emptiness inside me never faded. Who am I, really? The question echoed in my mind as I watched the pack warriors train in the distance. Among them was Blake, his movements fluid and precise as he sparred with another warrior. His power was undeniable, his future as alpha already written in stone. I envied his certainty, his sense of purpose. But deep down, I knew my story wasn’t meant to be simple. My past was a mystery, and I had a feeling that uncovering it would change everything.
