Chapter 02

Looking at Sherya's photo, tears rolled down the corners of her eyes. Wiping away her tears, she put down her phone and went downstairs to the living room. Sherya said to her father, "Dad, I was thinking—I am now a 23-year-old young woman. Can I go to New York?" Mr. Jain replied, "Are you out of your mind? Has my princess gone crazy?" Looking a bit uneasy, Sherya sat next to Mr. Jain and said, "Dad, this is not the time for jokes. I really want to go to New York alone, please, please, please, Dad." She made a cute, sweet face so that she could get her father's permission. Mr. Jain said, "Alright, stop making those sweet faces. But you are not going alone to such a big city. No." Sherya said, "Dad, I can do it. To you, I am a princess, but to everyone else, I am no less than a warrior." Mr. Jain said, "Even if I give you permission, you still have to get your mother's permission." Sherya said, "Alright."

Sherya left the living room, went to her mother's room, and saw her sitting and drinking tea. Shreya went and sat beside her mother, saying, "Mom, listen to me. If I ask you for something, will you give it to me?" Ms. Jain said, "Tell me, what do you want?" Making a sweet face, Sherya said, "Mom, I want to go to New York alone. With a slightly tearful expression, Sherya said, "Mom, why are you doing this? I am already 23 years old. This is the age to see the world. Mom, please let me go, please." Actually, all of this was Sherya's manipulative trick. Melting, Ms. Jain said in a soft voice, "Alright, I give you permission. But your father won't agree." Sherya said, "Dad has already agreed." Ms. Jain said, "Then alright. Go ahead, never let your wings be broken." Sherya said, "No, Mom, I won't let them break." Ms. Jain said, "Go pack your bags."

Shreya happily shouted, "Yeahhhhhhhh, Dad and Mom both agreed!" Sherya went to her room, packed her bags, and came outside to find everyone waiting for her. Sherya got into the car, bid everyone goodbye, and left. Arriving in the new city, Sherya was very happy. She rented an apartment and rested. She also took up a job where she had to make new and attractive dishes. She gave an online interview and passed it; tomorrow she has her offline interview. Feeling very nervous, she fell asleep without eating. Sherya woke up at 07:00 AM and got ready. She put a water bottle, a purse, a notebook, a pen, and a magazine inside her palazzo bag. Then she put on her shoes and went out.Then she comes down from her apartment to eat. She waits in line for food. Going up to the servers, she says, "Give me a sandwich and a juice." Taking her food, she goes to eat. And after finishing her meal, she sets off for her office destination.
