Anna questioned the sensibility of bringing Dan back home with her. Yet after he told his story, she didn't have much choice. If she guessed right, then Malcolm's men would be on their way. Although she had difficulty taking his patient's claim about John Malcolm being an immortal monster seriously, her houseguests at present were elves. It was difficult to take the sanity high ground under such circumstances.
As it was, Anna was grateful Dan did not consider her insane or delusional after explaining how the elves found her.
