Sofie's POV- "Hey! Mom," Brian says cheerfully as we enter the living room. Aunt Carolina turns around along with everyone and her eyes go wide with happiness and astonishment. She runs and hugs Brian, "Oh my God!! Sweetie! You know, you just choose the perfect timing to come here." She exclaims. "Well, when you informed me of who was coming, I HAD to come here." He says emphasizing ‘Had’. He is such a gentleman and he is not leaving any chance to tell me that he is here for me, to meet me for the first time, to meet his future wife. Wow! Future wife! Huh? Hehe... They both pull away and Brian greets Uncle George and Daddy. I can already see that my dad likes him. Yes! He has succeeded in impressing my dad! Well, my dad might know him before me. They do meet for business meetings.  "Now come here and sit with us, I'm sure you must be tired," Aunt says and drags him to the sofa and pushes him down on it. She can be really cute sometimes. We sit there talking about random things until finally, it's time for us to go and we bid our goodbye. I mean, we have things to unpack, right? We move outside when Brian pulls my hand. I turn around to look at him, "You didn't give me your number. I mean we are gonna be one family soon, so it's only fair that I have your number." He says making me blush. I tell him my number and along with my dad, move to our new previous house... if it makes any sense. *** After all the unpacking thingy, I'm finally free and so ready to jump on my bed and snuggle to my pillow. But I guess it's not happening any time soon as I hear my phone ringing. I see an unknown number and decide to ignore it when I remember that it could be Brain. I mean he has my number, not me, right? I pick it up quickly and say in a very low voice. "Hello."  "Hello." A very deep voice comes through the phone, it is so deep, like the one that turns you on but I'm hella sure that it doesn't belong to the sweet Brian. "Umm… do I know you?" I ask. "No you don't, but I do. Don't worry you'll meet me soon and when you do, don't disappoint me. Wear something sexy so that I'll be able to judge if you are good enough for me and if I can have some fun with you. I don't want to put my time in checking you by undressing you and then probably find nothing. So, put a short and tight dress on so it'll save me my time." He says. Who the f**k does he think he is?! How dare he call me and talk to me that way! I'm not his f*****g slave!   "Who the f**k you are actually speaking?! And how dare you to talk to me like that?! Listen Mister, I'm not your slave, so you better not talk s**t about me and dare you to call me again, you filthy bastard!!" I say enraged and at this point, I don't even care if my father hears me out and gets to know that his daughter DOES curse! "Watch your filthy mouth little one or I might have to punish you even harder than I'm going to." He says and cut the call. "What the hell? He just hung up on me! Who the hell does he think he is?!" I exclaim enraged and again dial his number. It must be some random guy who does prank calls to different people while sitting with his friends because they do not know how to pass the time and better things than that! "What the f**k was that?! And who the hell are you?! Actually, I don't give a f**k about who you are but I am guessing that you don't know who I am Mister or who my fiancé or my dad is, because if you did, then you wouldn't dare to talk to me like that. My fiancé will rip you in two and you'll regret why you ever dared to call me. I'm sure you are just playing that sick game of calling random people with your sick friends!!" I yell on the phone. "Are you done? Because I'm not done with you and certainly you just increased your punishment. Don't worry little one, I'll meet you soon." He again says and I can clearly hear the anger in his voice. He sounds so intimidating but... give hell to that, he can't talk to me that way! "f**k off," I say and hung up. Humph! Stupid intimidating Homo sapiens! With that, I lay down on my bed, thinking about my sweet, lovely future husband. *** "Sofie, we have to go to Millers' mansion for lunch today. I'm gonna talk so much about old dayssss…" My dad says in a sing-song manner. Honestly, my day has never been like this. I'm used to my strict, intimidating dad unless he is spending time with me, but since we came here, he has been cheerful all the time. Being back here, close to his best friends has done really good for him. And not to forget the happiness he is experiencing, knowing that his only daughter is getting married and that too, to a wonderful man. "I know dad, you don't need to remind me again and again," I say chuckling. *** "You are looking so beautiful my child!" Aunt Carolina says as I greet her. As planned, I and my dad are here for the lunch. We get inside the mansion and I meet Brian. He hugs me making me blush as he greets me. We all sit in the living room and soon enough dad and uncle are talking reminiscing their old days. "You know sweetie, I and your dad have been best friends since I can remember. And the same goes for your mother and George. So when your dad fell in love with your mother, George was all but an overprotective brother and when he fell in love with me, your dad was all over him too." Aunt Carolina says making me laugh. How sweet, they both were overprotective of their best friend! We talk for some time until a man comes in. I guess he is one of the workers. "Mr Miller, Christian sir has arrived." He says. Christian, oh… ha... he is the elder son of the Miller family.  We all sit there anticipating his arrival and that's when a Greek God enters the room. His hair is so smooth and perfectly set. His muscles ready to rip the expensive black colour three-piece suit that he has put on to adore himself. His face, all perfect with cold intimidating grey eyes. Looking into his eyes, I realize that blue eyes are not the only ones that I like. It just makes him look all the way sexier. Aunt moves forward and greets him with a hug and Uncle does the same adding a pat on his shoulder. He shakes his hand with my dad, and dad hugs him in return. They might know each other from before as they meet in some business meetings. Brian hugs him and asks about his well-being. All are so happy to meet him but he doesn’t pay much heed to it and there is just a small smile that seems to be forced too. I mean I remember how Brian greeted his parents and my dad, even me. He was so cheerful but his elder brother is the complete opposite.  Christian comes to me and stretches his hand for me to take, "Hello, You must be Sofie." He says and I take his hand, greeting him back. He stares at me for a few seconds with a smirk on his face before looking at his dad. After a little bit of talking we move to the dining area. But Christian calls my name and asks me to stop, all the others turn around but they just simply smile and move out. I move towards him, "Yes?" I ask. He stares at me for a few seconds and finally decides to speak. "I asked you to wear something sexy so that it'll save my time but the way you talked to me, I understood you wouldn't do what I asked you to so, get prepared to be punished and that too very soon and very hard." He says moving close to me. Wait? He is the one who called me yesterday? What the f**k?! He is my brother in law for crying out loud!! "It was you who called me yesterday?! Are you freaking serious?! I'm your future sister in law! Don't you know how you should behave with me? Look, if you think I'm one of those who cheat on their husbands then you're wrong. This marriage might be because of the contract but I'm not going to cheat on your brother.  And don't even dare to talk to me unless it's in front of the family!" I yell at him and move back outside, leaving him confused.  I enter the dining room and there I see everyone sitting and chatting. Uncle George is sitting on the head chair with aunt Carolina on his right. My dad on his left and I take my seat beside dad. I wish to sit beside Brian but we just met and I am not gonna show my desperation. Christian walks in and sits beside aunt, so that way he is sitting across me. Brian walks in and sits beside his brother. I see aunt Carolina smiling looking at Christian, but I can't understand why.  "Hey, you took my seat. It's me who sits beside mom." Brian whines. "Mom is not going to love you any less if for one day you don't sit beside her. You do know she loves you the most Brian." Christian says and aunt looks at him sadly. Brian smiles gently at his brother and sits beside his brother. Somehow, his statement didn’t feel good and the air in the room changes a little. The maids serve lunch while we all talk.  "I'm shocked that Marc didn't sit beside Carolina." Uncle George says teasingly.  "Oh! I know why, he might be thinking that it's our first meal together where we are discussing our children’s future together, so he wants to get in the character totally." Aunt says causing my dad to glare at her. Seriously, they all behave like teenagers but I'm happy with this change in my dad. We all eat the food quietly and thankfully, Christian doesn’t do anything to make me uncomfortable.  "It was so nice to have you here again Sofie. I'm sure we are gonna be best buddies." Brian says as we get ready to leave after sitting and talking for a little bit more.  Huh?! We are getting married, Brian. But I guess he doesn't want me to feel uncomfortable and form a friendship between us so that we can know each other better and live as friends after marriage, that way we won't feel uncomfortable living together. He is so understanding and so caring! "Yeah sure," I say and turn to bid goodbye to others. I notice eyes on me and reluctantly my eyes move to the pair of grey eyes. He doesn't say anything and just stares at me and I too ignore him and move to the car but not before I narrow my eyes at him for a brief second. A childish move that makes him frown as well but who cares?  As I move to the car, my dad stops me, "Soff, aren't you going to say bye to Christian?" He asks but I know that he is challenging me to try not doing so. Humph! Dad! I move towards him and wish him goodbye to which he just nods. I thank my stars that it didn't turn into something awkward and quickly get in the car. I wave for one last time and the driver starts the car, but my mind is filled with Christian's thoughts, the aura he has around himself, the way he carries himself. I just hope he won't create any problems for me in the future. I just want him to stay away from me because no matter how much I deny it, I know he has some effect on me and it's not good. I'm going to be his sister in law for crying out loud! Humph!! Stupid intimidating Homo sapiens!  And I am being a… stupid hormonal Homo sapiens!
