Episode 3: THE ASSASSIN SQUAD

This episode begins inside the abandoned underground training facility.

Eijin stands before the group of young fighters Kairo introduced him to.

Nobody seems impressed.

One fighter looks at Eijin and laughs.

"This is the guy we're supposed to protect?"

Another fighter responds:

"He doesn't even look like an assassin."

Eijin remains silent.

Kairo steps forward.

"He's not here because he's strong. He's here because someone wants him dead."

The room becomes quiet.

THE SQUAD

Kairo introduces the members of the team.

RAVEN

A fast fighter who uses an Art that allows her to manipulate shadows.

JAX

A powerful close-range fighter whose Art increases his physical strength.

MIRA

A tactical fighter who can create energy threads to trap opponents.

REN

A mysterious fighter who can temporarily copy small portions of another person's Art.

Eijin is the newest member.

Their mission is simple:

Find out why the Black Order is searching for Eijin.

THE TEST

Before Eijin can officially join the squad, Kairo gives him a test.

He must retrieve a small metal container from the other side of the training facility.

There is one problem.

The room is filled with automated combat machines.

The others expect Eijin to fail.

The machines attack.

Eijin creates bubbles to block their attacks, but the bubbles are destroyed almost immediately.

He starts running.

The machines chase him.

Eijin realizes he can't overpower them.

So he changes his strategy.

He creates tiny bubbles beneath his feet.

POP!

The bubbles burst, pushing him forward.

Eijin suddenly moves much faster.

He reaches the container.

But one final machine blocks his path.

Eijin creates a bubble around the machine's arm.

The machine tries to move.

It can't.

Eijin has discovered another ability:

BUBBLE TRAP

He can temporarily surround objects and restrict their movement.

Eijin grabs the container.

The test is complete.

THE FIRST MISSION

Kairo reveals that the team has received information about a Black Order supply truck.

The truck is transporting stolen Art-related technology.

The squad's mission is to intercept it.

Eijin joins them.

They reach the road at night.

The truck appears.

Raven creates a wall of shadows to block the road.

Jax attacks the vehicle.

Mira traps the guards with energy threads.

Eijin creates bubbles around the truck's wheels.

The bubbles expand.

The truck loses control and stops.

The team successfully captures the shipment.

But when they open the container, they discover something disturbing.

Inside are several files.

One of them contains Eijin's name.

His photograph is attached.

Under his name are three words:

"SUBJECT: GODoin BLOODLINE."

Eijin stares at the file.

He realizes the Black Order has been studying his family for years.

THE ASSASSIN

Before the squad can leave, a powerful assassin appears.

He wears a black mask with a silver symbol.

Kairo immediately recognizes him.

"Veyron..."

Veyron looks at Eijin.

"So you're the last Godoin."

Eijin prepares his bubbles.

Veyron smiles.

"Show me what the Godoin bloodline can do."

Eijin attacks.

His bubbles explode around Veyron.

But Veyron walks through the attacks without difficulty.

Eijin launches a compressed Bubble Shot.

Veyron dodges.

Eijin creates a Bubble Trap.

Veyron breaks it.

Eijin is thrown to the ground.

The squad tries to help, but Veyron defeats them one by one.

Eijin struggles back to his feet.

He creates a tiny bubble.

Veyron laughs.

"That's your great power?"

Eijin looks at the bubble.

Then he remembers his first breakthrough.

He makes the bubble smaller.

And smaller.

Until it becomes almost invisible.

Eijin launches it.

Veyron barely avoids it.

The bubble hits a wall behind him.

BOOM!

The wall cracks.

Veyron's smile disappears.

For the first time, he takes Eijin seriously.

"Interesting..."

Veyron disappears into the darkness.

THE DISCOVERY

Kairo tells Eijin that Veyron is one of the Black Order's strongest assassins.

Eijin asks why Veyron didn't kill them.

Kairo answers:

"Because he wasn't here to kill us."

He looks at the file.

"He was here to measure you."

The episode ends with Eijin looking at his Bubble Art.

He realizes that what everyone called his weakest ability may be something far more dangerous.

Meanwhile, somewhere deep inside the Black Order headquarters, Veyron reports to his superior.

"The Godoin boy has awakened."

The mysterious figure responds:

"Then begin Phase Two."
