A Day Outside
The previous night had left Nadia still emotionally exhausted. It was a relief that Sera had given her a task to keep her busy. Sera after the events of Yesterday seemed to suddenly decide Nadia needed to occupy her time productively. It was a breath of fresh air, but she secretly wished it wasn’t such a demeaning task. Sera had given her a large burlap bag and told her to fill it with canned food from the town until she could barely carry it. Apparently, it was going to “build character.” Nadia agreed to the task, it at least gave her a purpose, but she warned Sera to not be surprised if it wasn’t as full as she was expecting.
