Hailey College ended early today. After skipping for two days, I couldn't push my luck any further—and Damien sure as hell wouldn't let me. When I'd tried convincing him to let me stay home just one last time, he had given me a look so sharp it could've cut glass and said, in exact words: "Don't be a brat, Hailey.
