Hailey As I prepared the cupcake batter, carefully smoothing it out, and cleaned the molds, I could feel Damien's eyes on me. Judgmental. Bored. He was holding something back—I could see it in the way his jaw tensed, his fingers drumming against the counter. And I had a feeling I knew exactly what was going through that twisted mind of his.
