“What are we going to do now?” Gunner asked, closing the door gently. “And what about Gideon? I doubt he will give his new mate up after what happened.” I had forgotten Gideon and Gunner were good friends.

“Oh, well he got rejected by his mate. He hasn’t told anyone else, so don’t spread it around please. He’s been all kinds of pouty since so it made sense to me he would enter the festival.” Gunner almost looked guilty.
