Chapter 4: Let's Wait and See.

When Wrynn finally found out about the rumors, there was no doubt about who it was, and it's definitely Yukiye Moore. She had conspired with Raymie Hughes to steal her manuscript, since she wasn't at the company. Wrynn, immediately checked out of the hospital. After experiencing everything that happened before, she made a firm decision to get back at them. She walked out of the hospital gate, standing by the roadside getting ready to hail a taxi, when suddenly someone called her name, “Wrynn Vitality?” Wrynn Vitality didn't find the voice unfamiliar. On the contrary, she recognized who it was. She clenched her fists, turned around, and indeed it was Brittanni Cooper standing not far behind her. Brittanni Cooper was just as Wrynn remembered, well-dressed and stylish. She was currently wearing a sundress and walked towards her with a cheerful expression on her face. “It is indeed you,” Brittanni Cooper approached, the mocking smile on her face was clearly visible to see. After taking a proper look at Wrynn, she suddenly let out a shocked gasp. “Oh no! So you've been hit? Even the famous designer Vitality can be beaten to a pulp, my goodness!” Brittanni is Oras Cooper's sister, and neither of them is trustworthy. “None of your business,” Wrynn muttered calmly. Brittanni wasn't angered either, instead she smiled, “Your temper is still the same as before, it's not surprising that you got hit.” “And your mouth still runs like a tap, just like before. Did you come to the hospital to get checked by the psychiatry department?” Brittanni frowned tightly, but quickly eased her expression with a triumphant smile. “I heard that you're miserable, beaten up and accused of plagiarism. I'm sure the next thing on your agenda is to pester my brother after hearing the news of his return, since you're a leach who always attaches herself to others!” Wrynn instantly clenched her fist in anger. It took a lot of effort for her to regain her composure. “The news about me being accused of plagiarism only just broke out recently. Miss Cooper, I didn't expect you to care about me so much. It must have been hard for you, since you still hold on to the past all these years.” “You have no shame!” Brittanni Cooper exclaimed as if her sore spot had been touched, “Who cares about you? You're an unwanted bastard!” Brittanni Cooper had called her that countless times when they were studying together. The key point was that her brother fell in love with the unwanted bastard. “Brittanni, watch your language. I won't have you insult me ever again, do you hear me?” Wrynn had long been accustomed to being insulted. Presently, she didn't feel any displeasure and instead smiled, “By the way, I remember… you have a crush on Zandon Majestic, don't you?” Brittanni had a crush on Zandon since their school days, and she even found her way into Zandon's bed. Unfortunately, Zandon totally had no interest in her. If only Brittanni knew that she had slept with Zandon, already, she's sure Britanni will develop a heart attack. “Wait, why are you suddenly bringing him up? Don't tell me he's your next target. Let me warn you right this instant, don't you dare get your claws on my man, else I'll never let you off!” Brittanni warned with a glare. Wrynn smirked, “Brittanni, the future is way ahead, so why don't we wait and see what happens?” After saying those words, Wrynn quickly stopped a taxi and left. Once she couldn't see Brittanni Cooper's infuriated figure in the rearview mirror, the smile on Wrynn's face disappeared into sadness. So, Oras Cooper had returned, the man she used to love? Although she didn't love him anymore, hearing this news still made her feel a little flustered. Oras Cooper went abroad after she married Raymie Hughes, and a year later she heard the news of Oras Cooper's marriage. The last thing Wrynn wanted was for Oras Cooper to see her in her current state. The thought of the past suddenly brought tears to her eyes and just as she was about to wipe her tears, her phone rang. Her old phone had been destroyed by Raymie, this was the phone Qirat had bought her before, with the same number. Though it showed as an unknown number, Wrynn knew it was Zandon calling. Before she could say anything, Zandon. She quickly swiped the answer icon and directed the phone to her ears. Majestic's voice came from the other end, “Where are you?” Wrynn was taken aback by his question. “I've been discharged.” It can't be that he came to the hospital to find her. “Where are you?” He asked again with a cold tone which sent chills down Wrynn's spine. Wrynn glanced outside and then gave the name of the place. “Get off,” Zandon said concisely. “I… I need to go back to get my things,” Wrynn Vitality said. “Don't make me repeat myself a second time, Wrynn,” Zandon warned I'm a cold tone. Wrynn quickly had the driver pull over, and she got out of the car just as quickly. Within a few minutes, Zandon's car arrived. He came down from the car, and he directly opened the passenger door, “Get in.” Wrynn couldn't explain why she followed Zandon's orders. Perhaps it was because she was afraid after Qirat provided her full information about him. Although Zandon had been polite to her the few times they met, recalling how he directly broke Raymie's leg gave her the chills that he wasn't a good person. “Did you cry?” Zandon Majestic was incredibly perceptive, Wrynn Vitality's eyes were only slightly red. “No,” of course Wrynn wouldn't admit it, “It's just the wind.” Zandon didn't say a word further, he started the car and drove away from there. Wrynn felt somewhat awkward and looked out the window. Only then did she realize that Zandon wasn't heading towards her home at all. “Where are you taking me?” she turned her head in surprise and asked. ”My home," he uttered. “Why do I have to go to your house?” Wrynn asked, curiously. “I want to go back! I wish to go back and get evidence of Raymie's affair!” Only after she resolved the situation with Raymie would she have the energy to deal with the plagiarism accusations against her. “How are you going to find evidence of an affair when you don't have the resources?” Zandon asked. “Have you forgotten about almost getting beaten to death before?” This made Wrynn tighten her fist in anger. And then, an idea struck. There's only one reason why he was being nice to her. “Tell me, Zadon, all of this niceness you're displaying was so you could get me into bed again, am I wrong?” Zandon  tightened his grip on the steering wheel, annoyance visible in his eyes. “Is that how you see me?” “Or what?” Wrynn asked. “Are you saying you're truly concerned about me? Who are you to me? On what grounds do you care about me? We only had s*x one night, we are not even friends with benefits!” In this world, no one would genuinely care about her apart from Qirat1. She used to think that her mother truly loved her. Although she had a hard time with Cooper, she was willing to endure for her mother. But when her mother found out she liked Oras Cooper, she cursed her as a shameless slut. She also believed that Oras Cooper truly loved her, as he stood up against his family for her. But he didn't. After her mother discovered their relationship, he coldly watched her get scolded and kicked out of the house. Then she met Raymie. At that time, she no longer believed in love, but Raymie warmed her heart and made her fall in love with him, eventually marrying him. However in just three short years, she saw through Raymie's real intentions. That's why she didn't believe that Zandon truly cared about her. Why would someone like Zandon, a significant figure, be interested in someone like her, who was called a “yellow-faced witch” by Raymie? It's unclear which of Wrynn's words struck a nerve with Zandon, but he found a nearby parking lot and forcefully grabbed her, placing her on his lap. His actions were rough, and his cold and enraged voice echoed in her ears, “Are you satisfied with the way I treat you now?!”
