The Sir Isaac’s human crew awoke from stasis just as the space cruiser entered Earth’s Solar System. Although most of the crew had made the same journey before, there were still a few for whom this was a first-time experience. The space-cruiser had slowed to a crawl in comparison to the speeds that it had travelled outside the solar system and it wouldn’t be long before they would arrive back at Earth.
As the Sir Isaac Newton entered the home straight of its 4.24 light year journey, the mood on the ship was one of joy at their return and satisfaction at a job well done – Coppélia 1 had finally been rescued and the scientific community would gain invaluable information regarding multiverse theory.
