The Return of the Goddess
Her return occurred one night while I was suspended high in the middle of the pathway and Katherine was on a four-day trip. The night was a quiet one and so I swung only when I kicked my legs, looking out at the stars above the treetops on either side of the path and above the wide expanse of the lake. I was almost asleep when Goddess’ voice whispered evilly into my ears.
