BEYOND THE LIGHT
Lord Lucien's eyes locked onto me, his gaze cold and yielding, making me feel like he harbored deep-seated hatred towards me. Yet, despite the fear that gripped my heart, I found myself surrendering to his unspoken commands, folowing him to his room with hesitant steps.
As we entered, Lord Lucien's voice, bold and husky, sent shivers down my spine.
"sit on the bed", he instructed, his tone laced with anger. My fear intensified, my mind racing with thoughts of Lord Lucien's reputation and his ties with Kael, they're the same, their blood runs with wickedness and cruelty.
Even though I never stared at him, I knew his gaze never wavered from my face, and it made my skin crawl. He began to speak, his voice low and measured,
"Ivy, I didn't purchase you to be my slave in the classical sense. You have skills and qualities that I believe can be honed for a specific purpose"
My mind raced as Lord Lucien's words hung in the air, my fear mingling with curiosity. I couldn't grasp what he meant, but his tone suggested something more complex than simple servitude.
"I've bought several...slaves,shall we say in the past" Lord Lucien continued, his voice calm.
"Each has been trained for a particular task. You, Ivy are the last piece in my plan. Once you've undergone the necessary training, you'll be instrumental in helping me achieve my goal"
My heart pounded in my chest as Lord Lucien's words painted a picture of a dark and intricate scheme. It was like I was a pawn in a game I didn't understand, a game that seemed to be controlled by Lord Lucien's every move.
"my uncle" Lord Lucien's voice turned cold, "has been a thorn in my side for far too long. He's responsible for the death of my parents, and I'll stop at nothing to make him pay"
My fear spiked as Lord Lucien's words revealed a deep-seated hatred, a desire for revenge that seemed to drive him. And I was caught up in a web of vendetta, and Lord Lucien's plan for me was just one strand in a much larger, darker tapestry.
