Kaye looked down at the printed sheet her Aunt Hazel had left for her and her sisters. Since they had been little girls, the three of them had looked forward each year to this day perhaps even more than Christmas or Easter. Every year on her aunt’s birthday rather than a party to celebrate, Aunt Hazel issued what she called “The Challenge” to her nieces.
Aunt Hazel was a very special lady. Even though she had grown up in what was often called “a man’s world,” she had spent her life proving that a woman was capable of doing anything she set her mind on. Her “adventures,” as she called them, had taken her to all seven continents, where she had not only pursued her love of fishing, but had written essays for such magazines as Sports Illustrated and National Geographic.
