Frank M Robinson (1926–2014) was an American science fiction and techno-thriller writer. He was born in Chicago and started writing as a teenager, working as a copy boy for International News Service. He moved to magazine publisher Ziff Davis before being drafted into the Navy for World War II. When his tour was over, he attended Beloit College, where he majored in physics, graduating in 1950.
When he couldn’t find a job as a writer, he re-enlisted in the Navy and served in Korea, where he kept writing and reading, as well as publishing stories in John W. Campbell’s Astounding Science Fiction magazine.
