Liam's POV
It had been a year. A whole year since the night we killed Evelyn.
Celeste had fallen into a coma that night. After taking her for urgent medical attention, she had fallen into a deep sleep. I waited by her bedside every single day since then, watching for movement or any sign that she was awaking. I talked to her as well, they say people in a coma can hear you talk to them. It was worth a shot to let her know she wasn't there alone.
At this moment though, I had been with Celeste. I had taken myself to get one of the awful cups of coffee the hospital served. You'd think after a year of this I would have taken my own flask. But every trip to the hospital, Celeste was the only thing on my mind.
