Chapter Two
When Blair returned to her office, thanking every god in the pantheon that the elevators had been switched back on, she found a sticky note on her computer from her boss, saying he’d decided to work from home for the rest of the day.
She stared at it, puzzled. She’d been the last person to leave their floor, mainly because she was stressing about her shoes but also because she’d looked in the bathroom to make sure no one was in there ill or needing help or something. Her boss and his VP had both left before her. So how did the sticky note get on her computer?
