Ivanka was returned to her room but remained motionless in her semi-vegetative state, where nothing or no one else existed except herself and her memories. Her parents were seated beside her, with Cora quietly explaining everything to her husband, what had transpired in Mr. Stones' room. Her husband was just as shocked to learn about it. It wore so heavy on him and made him question if Mr. Stones was indeed, capable of something of that nature. Someone knocked on the door. Cora answered it and it turned out to be the doctor. "How's she doing?" The doctor asked after the casual exchange of greetings. Cora looked pathetically at her daughter who laid upwards with her eyes open, yet distant-minded. "She's still the same way. I don't know if a psychiatrist would be needed at this point."
