Day 28.
8:00 p.m.
Parker:
We take Skye back to HQ and as I walk her to her floor to check her in she asks me, “Parker, when will I get to come home with you?”
I smile as I put my arm around her shoulders as we walk, “Soon, Skye, I promise. I’m going to let Jasper know that the dinner went well and that we all want this and as soon as we can you’ll be coming with us.”
She asks, “Will I get to have my own bed?”
My eyes widen surprised by her request and she explains, “I try not to complain, we have bunk beds here, but the mattress is so thin it is more like a cot and we have like no privacy whatsoever.”
I hug her, “I promise you will have everything you deserve.”
She hugs me tightly and mutters in my ear, “Thank you for wanting me.”
I check her in and give her another hug goodbye
