I rush out of the room leaving Hunter behind. I can’t help but touch my lips as I search for Ryan. I can’t believe Hunter kissed me. The way he was looking at me, the way he kissed me, it seems as if he actually cares for me.
He doesn’t recognize I’m married although I’m sure that doesn’t matter to him. I took my ring off when I knew he was in the room because I don’t want him to find out about Ashton. I don’t want him to target Ashton just because he is with me.
I find Ryan in the main area of the warehouse and I do my best to suppress my laughter. I ask, “How’s it hanging?”
“Ha-ha! Shut up! Get me down before I black out please.”
I use my powers to get him down safely and he hugs me and asks, “Are you okay? Have you found anything?”
