I despise leaving Parker alone, but I know that Emma and Skye will be there to pick her up soon and that she will have fun with them. It’s weird to go on a mission without her, but it’s what has to be done.
I’m surprised when I pull up to my location to see Travis. He rolls his eyes at the sights of me and I let out a small groan because he is the last person I want to be working with. Due to our recent history I don’t think he would truly have my back in a fight.
He looks at me and says, “It’s just the two of us. What’s in the past is in the past… truce?”
He holds his hand out for me to shake it and I exhale and nod in agreement as I shake my hand, “Truce.”
