Evander froze, his eyes wide as he slowly turned to Lucan. Lucan had a small, dark smile, one that set his eyes in dark embers of hatred and revenge as he moved closer to Evander. "Yoir Highness," Adeline started to say, but he raised a single finger, stopping her from saying anything further. "I am speaking to him." Evander cleared his throat as his eyes darted menacingly towards Adeline. She was the only one who could help him out of this, and knowing exactly what had just transpired between them, he knew it was rather unlikely.
